Praised as a “virtuoso singing actor” (Voice Magazine), mezzo-soprano Max Potter is a dynamic and versatile artist known for her expressive vocalism and captivating stage presence. Her 2024/2025 season includes a concert tour with The Muses Project, a debut as Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro with Opera Santa Barbara, and a spring performance of Verdi’s Messa da Requiem with the San Luis Obispo Master Chorale. Recent highlights include her role debut as Octavian in Der Rosenkavalier and performances in Carmen and Il Trovatore with Opera Santa Barbara.
In addition to her operatic work, Max is passionate about contemporary and rarely-performed repertoire, premiering new works with The American Opera Project’s Composers and the Voice Fellowship. She also made her symphonic debut as the alto soloist in Mendelssohn’s Elijah at Washington National Cathedral.
